Believe me. Pardon the grammar, but it ain't been no vacation.
Little Foot has been sick. It took me days to figure out that she has hand, foot, and mouth. If you have no idea what hand, foot, and mouth is, then, stop where you are and praise God. Don't worry, I'll wait.
In a nut shell, fever, ulcers in the mouth, decrease in appetite and thirst, and change in sleep patterns. We have suffered. Every last single one of us.
Last night, once I had firmly established the diagnosis, I called every parent of every child Little Foot had been in contact within the past week.
It made me feel like a bad person. I know it's stupid, but I did.
Thankfully, no one else is sick.
I feel like we are over the worst part. Last night, we slept more than two hours at a time. She asked, well, more like pointed to her Memaw's oatmeal and apple this morning. She's a demanding little diva.
So where have I been lately?
Being a mommy, with no time for anything else.
